Grace, founder of Ola, smiling

Cofounder · Head coach · Class architect

Hi, I'm Grace.

I'm a certified Pilates instructor, Zumba certified and a barre sculpt coach, with a master's in Sports Science from Nova Southeastern University. For more than five years I've taught kids ages 5 to 10, in private sessions and in groups.

I'm Colombian and Panamanian, and I love to dance, so my classes are full of music and energy, and every kid gets a warm welcome. Andres and I started Ola to bring them real Pilates that feels like play. I designed the method, and I teach in English and Spanish.

Cofounder · Business and partnerships

Hola, I'm Andres.

Grace and I built Ola together. She leads the method and the classes. I lead the business: school partnerships, operations and growth, plus all the boring stuff, so she can stay focused on what matters most: the kids!

Questions

Good questions.

Do we need a gym?

No. A clear room about the size of a classroom and a free wall are enough. We bring the mats, soft balls, a speaker and a picture schedule of the class.

How long is a class, and how often?

30 minutes. We recommend two classes a week for each group, on the same two days. Classes can run back to back, so one morning covers several groups.

What ages?

4 to 10. Every move has an easier and a harder version, and kids pick. We group kids by age when a school has enough of them.

How many kids in a class?

Up to 8 kids per coach, so every child gets coached.

Is it a workout or a game?

Both. Pilates, strength moves and games, all to music. It feels like play and builds strength, balance and coordination.

What does it cost?

It depends on how many groups and classes a week you want. After your free demo we send a simple quote. The demo is free.

Who teaches?

Grace, our cofounder and head coach. She is a certified Pilates instructor with a master's in Sports Science and more than five years of teaching kids ages 5 to 10.

English or Spanish?

Both. We count moves in Spanish and English, and every class has a Spanish word of the day.

My child likes a calmer room. Will this work?

Yes. We offer a calmer version: softer lights, slower music, a timer kids can see before each change, and a quiet corner where watching counts as taking part.

Can families pay with Step Up For Students?

Step Up welcome. Physical education is an eligible expense for several Step Up scholarships when classes happen in person in Florida. Today families can pay by card and request reimbursement. We are preparing our application to be listed in Step Up's EMA Marketplace. Schools pay Ola directly. More for families
